The Chi Omega Phi Chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma was established at the University of West Georgia in 2004.

The mission of Alpha Phi Sigma is to promote critical thinking, rigorous scholarship and life-long learning. The Chi Omega Phi Chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma promotes academic excellence through the recognition of scholarship, assisting in the development of professional and personal leadership among its members, and provides opportunities for service to the community and the profession of criminology and criminal justice.
