| TEXT: | PRECALCULUS (5th edition), Sullivan We will cover parts of Chapter 1, 2, 3, 4 and 10. We will start in sectin 1.6. You shuld read all of 1.1 through 1.5 and be familiar with that material. Chapters 5-9 are covered in Math 1112. Math 1113 covers all these topics at a faster pace in one semester. |

| TESTS: | There will be exams on Friday, September 17, Friday, October 8, Friday November 5, and Friday, December 3. Each will count 100 points towards your final grade. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| FINAL: | The final is Monday, December 13 at 8:00-10:00. It counts 200 points towards your final grade. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
| HOMEWORK: | Homework will be assigned each class and collected the following class. You are expected to come to the following class with the homework done. If you are stuck on any of the problems, you may consult other students or me. If time permits, I MAY start class by answering a few of the homework problems. Each assignment is worth 3 points. You will lose 1 point for each day it is late. You will lose points for handing in incomplete assignments or wrong answers. | CLASS: | You are expected to attend class on a regular basis. Every day, I will lecture for part of the class and you will work on problems for part of the class. During the problem portion of the class, you may work in small groups, but you are expected to be working on that day's problems and not other problems, homework or talking.
