At the College of Charleston in 1904, three men founded the Pi
Kappa Phi Fraternity that was to be built upon the principles of
CLASS: Character, Leadership, Academics, Service and Sportsmanship.
In 1998, Pi Kappa Phi brought these qualities to West Georgia. Since
our founding on the West Georgia campus three years ago, Pi Kappa
Phi has raised the standard to which all other fraternities are
held. Our Fraternity is constantly looking for men who want to take
part in continuing that tradition of excellence.
Pi Kappa Phi plays an active role on campus, with brothers participating
in a number of campus organizations including the Student Government
Vice President, SGA senators, University Ambassadors, Summer Orientation
Leaders, and Student Activities Council Chairmen. We also boast
the highest GPA on campus for the past 2 years. However, our leadership
is not confined to the classroom. Pi Kappa phi also prides itself
on our intramural programs. We believe in not only playing to win,
but competing with class and maintaining good sportsmanship. For
these reasons, Pi Kappa Phi was selected as the Outstanding Male
Athletic Team for 2001.
In addition, Pi Kappa Phi plays an active role in the community.
By participating in community service projects, such as building
playgrounds, a 56 Hour Bike-A-Thon, and a number of other community
fundraisers, brothers of Pi Kappa Phi get a chance to give back
to the community and build stronger brotherhood at the same time.
Our national outreach project, PUSH America gives brothers the chance
to participate in events that raise both money and awareness for
people with disabilities. In turn, Pi Kapps get the opportunity
to see first hand the money they raise go to work by participating
in weekend long projects held in various locations throughout the
country.
In joining Pi Kappa Phi, you are not only becoming part of a growing
legacy of excellence, you are becoming part of a lifelong Brotherhood.
Our Fraternity is made up of men that are "Strong Enough to
Care" about improving themselves on an academic, athletic,
and social basis. One look at Pi Kappa Phi and you will see that
we are definitely a Fraternity with CLASS.
