The Zeta Omega chapter of Alpha Xi Delta was founded on the
principles of loyalty, service, and sisterhood. As one of
the oldest and largest national sororities in the country,
we participate in many activities on campus and in the community.
Our philanthropy is Choose Children, which means that
we volunteer our time to help any children's organization
in this community. We are the only national sorority that
encourages service for our philanthropy instead of just raising
and donating money. The Zeta Omega chapter is also active
on the State University of West Georgia campus. We participate
in all the intramural events during the year. Each fall quarter,
in addition to our socials with fraternities, we host a semi-formal
dance at the local country club. We also have a formal dance
each spring in Atlanta. These occasions are special, but our
favorite events are our rush parties in which each sister
can invite two or three guys to the party. We have our Xi-Man
Crush during fall quarter, and our Double Blue Desire Crush
during winter quarter. We usually finish spring quarter with
our Family Day picnic. This event allows our parents and siblings
to see the special bond that we have as sisters. The sisters
of Zeta Omega chapter are fortunate to have a clear vision
of life that develops from living the reality of a true sisterhood
of women. |
