Membership in Chi Omega is an honor, privilege, and socially enriching
experience. Chi Omega is the largest national sorority with over
220,000 initiated members and 175 active chapters. One out of ten
sorority women are a Chi Omega and the other nine are scattered
among the twenty-five other sororities.
We have the opportunity to interact with all the fraternities through
socials, mixers, and date parties. Chi Omega is active in the community
with a Read Aloud program for underprivileged children, an Easter
Egg Hunt, the Rape Crisis Center, and Big Man on Campus which raises
money for the American Heart Association. One of our main priorities
is scholarship. In fact, we had a cumulative grade point average
of 3.09 for Spring quarter.
Some Chi Omega sisters have received awards and honors such as
Greek Woman of the Year, Distinguished Student Leader, President's
Award, lst place in Video Night during Greek Week, and Student Government
Association President. We have sisters that actively participate
in other activities such as intramurals, Student League, Summer
Orientation Staff, Order of Omega, Campus Outreach, cheerleading,
cross country track, and dance team. Through our activities and
academic responsibilities we have created an ever lasting sisterhood.
