Our Mission

The Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, as a complement to the academic programs of the University, offers a variety of educational and support services, developmental programs, and student activities designed to enrich the student's university life. Additionally, the Division coordinates enrollment-related functions across the campus to improve recruitment, retention, progression, and graduation, and maintain optimum enrollment to meet University Strategic Goals.

Our Vision
2007-2010

  • Improve student engagement
  • Improve customer/client services and satisfaction
  • Improve student success
  • Decrease the negative outcomes of alcohol use by students
  • Increase enrollment

Each department has established goals in support of this vision. To view departmental goals, see our SSDH Goals 07-08 document.

Divisional Transitions:

We are going through several exciting transitions as we seek to improve services to our growing campus. We appreciate your patience as we work to revise various procedures, documents, and websites.

Trish Causey has been named as the Assistant Dean of Students, a newly created position in the Vice President's office. She will serve as the campus’s chief judicial officer, and will also chair the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Team (ADAPT), serve as a key member of the Critical Incident Team, and provide other services related to managing student behavior and improving the campus climate.

Effective July 1, 2008, the Office of Student Activities changed its name to the Center for Student Involvement. The new name more accurately represents the mission of the office to work directly with students and student organizations to provide services and activities which actively connect students to the institution, thereby enhancing their West Georgia experience.

Effective July 1, 2008, the name of the Division was changed from the Division of Student Services to the Division of Student Affairs & Enrollment Management.
