Our twenty-forth season opens with a house party direct from Creole Country. The fun begins at 6:30 pm with light refreshments in the lobby and prizes for the lucky. Join us for some old-time games and wear your dancing shoes, cause the Zydeco is gonna get you!

For nearly 30 years, Grammy award-winner Terrance Simien, an 8th generation Creole from St. Landry Parish, has served as an ambassador for his indigenous music. Leading his Zydeco Experience band, Simien and his musicians have performed over 7,000 concerts, touring millions of miles to 47 countries. Celebrating their 27th consecutive New Orleans Jazz Festival in 2012, Simien has shared the stage with Robert Palmer, Stevie Wonder, Dr. John, Paul Simon and countless others. Simien and his band have been featured in dozens of films, from “The Big Easy” to “The Lucky One,” released this past April. In 2009, Simien was a guest musician in Disney’s “The Princess & The Frog,” featuring his accordion work on “Gonna Take You There.” Now, let the Zydeco Experience get you here!
