Tips On Conducting Extended Conferences And Meetings

Wimba is a powerful tool to help you host major events, (size and/or importance) online. Dan Hann will lead a discussion about the Tips and Tools the DI Group has used for hosting conferences and workshops on an international level. The exchange will focus on best practices that can help you in these activities, while the concepts will also enhance your other projects.

We will archive the session and also be able to try the new Wimba Classroom V6 - MP4 podcasting tool for those of you who cannot attend.

YSU leads conference on Distance Education

Nearly 20 speakers from across the world will participate in the 2nd Annual Distance Education Conference 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16.

The theme of the conference is "Web 2.0 – The Green Solution: How New Technology is Changing Distance Education." Keynote speaker is Sandy Cook, systems director of Distance Learning Technologies for the Kentucky Community and Technical College System. Her topic will be "A Kentucky Partnership Framework: A Disruptive Approach for Innovation and Change."

Invited guest speakers include Barbara Gellman–Danley,(Ohio vice chancellor, Academic Affairs and System Integration, and Kate Carey, special assistant to the vice chancellor and director of the Ohio Learning Network.
