Henderson joins development staff January 31, 2003 CARROLLTON, GA - Ernie Henderson has been appointed as the new assistant director for development at the University of West Georgia. Henderson is a West Georgia alumnus (Class of 1971) with a BBA degree in Marketing and Management.
Henderson comes to this position with 11 years experience in fundraising with the American Red Cross and the Atlanta Area Council Boy Scouts. Scott Huffman, associate vice president for development and alumni services, said, “Ernie has numerous years of non-profit fund raising experience and this will pay huge dividends for our development activities. He has worked extensively in Atlanta with corporations and foundations.” Henderson is an Atlanta native and is married to Judy Bridges, also a UWG graduate. They have two sons, one daughter, and two granddaughters. He is also a member of Kiwanis International and has served on the club’s Board of Directors for six years. Huffman said, “We are fortunate to have a fund raiser of Ernie’s caliber. He brings a lot of experience to UWG. It’s icing on the cake that he is an alum.” -30- |
