MtvU coming to UWG January 5, 2005 CARROLLTON, GA - mtvU is making its debut at the University of West Georgia.
“The programming is more geared toward college students and not just the same type you see on regular MTV,” Reeves said. mtvU focuses on the growing college music scene, playing videos from breakthrough bands that aren’t played on MTV or MTV2. The new channel also provides news in hourly updates on topics that are most relevant to students, including campus-focused news and entertainment updates. Major news stories are updated throughout the day in partnership with CBS News. Auxiliary Services conducted an “informal poll” of students during last semester, which recommended the new channel. mtvU will only be available in the residence halls around the clock. -30- |
