Spring Music Events January 28, 2005 CARROLLTON, GA - This spring, the Department of Music at the University of West Georgia has gone to great lengths to compile a series of events that will both enrich students educational experience and also be accessible to the public. In addition to performances, the department has arranged for a clarinet master class to be taught by Karl Leister, an internationally recognized clarinetist. “It is a great accomplishment,” said Lorrie Sposato-Allen, program coordinator for the Department of Music, “the class will draw people from a wide area to attend.” The master class will be held on Saturday, March 12 at 3 p.m. in the Kathy Cashen Recital Hall, room 101 in the Humanities building. Additional details will be announced. The first performance will feature percussion and saxophone symposium concerts on Friday, Feb. 4 at 8:15 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 5 at 4 p.m. at the Townsend Center for the Performing Arts.
