Winter Preview Day
January 20, 2006
CARROLLTON, GA - Prospective students and their parents are invited to attend Winter Preview Day at the University of West Georgia, Sunday, Jan. 29.
Winter Preview Day will begin in the Health and Physical Education Building (HPE) at 1:30 p.m. with an introduction by UWG President Beheruz N. Sethna. University Ambassador President Keia King will be the guest speaker.
Prospective students and their families can tour the 400-acre campus and attend these scheduled activities throughout the afternoon:
An Academic Fair at the Technology-enhanced Learning Center (TLC) will showcase West Georgia’s wide variety of academic departments at 2 - 3:30 p.m.
A Department / Organizations Fair will showcase UWG’s student activities, organizations and services at the University Community Center (UCC), room 207, at 2:30 - 4 p.m.
Walking and shuttle tours will be given from 2 – 3:30 p.m. Most residence halls will be open for tours from 3 - 5 p.m. Information session topics will include the Honors College, financial aid, freshmen admissions, transfer admissions and the Advanced Academy of Georgia.
The Office of Admissions and the Residence Life Office will also be open from 3 - 5 p.m. for prospective students turning in any important documents.
