BSA Heritage Ball to be held

February 13, 2003

CARROLLTON, GA - In honor of Black History Month, the Black Student Alliance (BSA) at the University of West Georgia will be hosting the BSA Heritage Ball on Feb. 27 from 8-11 p.m. at the Maple Street Mansion Ballroom. This yearly tradition allows students a fun filled night of music and dancing.

“The BSA Heritage Ball is a way for students to socialize and participate in Black History Month,” said LeTressa Walker, student activities program advisor.

The BSA serves as a unifying governing body for African-American students at UWG. The purpose of the organization is to advance students interests, as well as provide assistance in giving Black students a positive concept of themselves and their possibilities through education.

All students are welcome to attend. Tickets are $5 for singles and $8 for couples and can be purchased at the Student Activities Office in UCC Room 200 or in front of the Ingram Library or the UCC.

For more information concerning the BSA Heritage Ball, contact Toni Phipps, BSA vice president, at 770-836-6526.
