Financial Aid deadlines February 13, 2004 CARROLLTON, GA - The Free Applications for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2004-2005 academic year at the University of West Georgia are now available. FAFSAs may be obtained in the Department of Financial Aid, located in Aycock Hall, or students may apply online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Returning students who received financial aid during the 2003-2004 academic year can use their PIN number to reapply online at the website also. UWG’s school code is 001601. According to Kimberly Jordan, UWG director of financial aid, students and parents need to complete the FAFSA once they have completed their 2003 federal income tax forms since the income information is required on the application. Jordan points out that there are many deadlines to keep in mind. The General Scholarship deadline is March 1. UWG students who have a completed financial aid file by April 1, 2004 will be considered for additional funding, if they are eligible. UWG students who advance register for fall classes must have a completed file by July 15 in order to have their financial aid credited to their account by the August 10 fee payment deadline. Students not attending UWG will need to check with the financial aid office at the institution they plan to attend for their deadlines.
