Job Expo February 14, 2005 CARROLLTON, GA - The most difficult aspect of the college experience for many students is not final exams or roommates, but the search for a job that fits them. Because of this need, the Department of Career Services at the University of West Georgia hosts the annual Job Expo, which brings many prospective employers to campus to meet with students. This year’s Job Expo will be held Thursday, Feb. 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the lower level of the Food Services Building (Z-6). The Job Expo is free to students and open to all majors. The only requirement for attendance is professional dress and a resume. However, Rebecca Smith, Job Expo coordinator, has some advice, “The earlier that students arrive, the better their chances of finding the job that they want,” she said. The event will include representatives from more than 28 different companies including MBNA, Tanner Health System, Cintas Corporation, the Georgia Department of Human Resources and the Department of Corrections, Walgreen’s and the Walt Disney Corporation.
