Wanda McGukin honored by SAEE

CARROLLTON,
GA - Wanda McGukin, associate director of Career Services at the University
of West Georgia, received the Jana Rollins Distinguished Service Award
from the Southeastern Association for Employment in Education during its
conference in Atlanta on Jan. 20.
The Southeastern Association for Employment in Education (SAEE), works to facilitate the relationship between student teachers and elementary and secondary school recruiting organizations.
“This is a great honor because I had to be nominated by my peers and others in this organization,” said McGukin.
McGukin is currently serving as the treasurer for the SAEE, which includes the entire Southeast, Maryland, and Indiana.
“This organization’s recognition of Mrs. McGukin bears witness to the dedication and professionalism which she has applied to her work in the field of career services and her service at the University of West Georgia,” said Dr. Bruce Brewer, director of Career Services at UWG.
