Superbowl Bash February 3, 2005 CARROLLTON, GA - Even though the Atlanta Falcons didn’t make it to the big game this year, University of West Georgia students are still anticipating Super Bowl Sunday. The Black Student Alliance (BSA) will be hosting its first-ever Super Bowl Bash this Sunday, Feb. 6, at 5:45 p.m. The event will be held in the University Community Center (UCC) in room 312 and is open to all students. According to Casey Brown, membership coordinator for the BSA, “There will be great food, fun and projector screens to watch the game on. This is an event you don’t want to miss!” This year’s game has the New England Patriots facing off against the Philadelphia Eagles at the Alltel Stadium in Jacksonville. The Patriots are entering the Super Bowl as defending National Football League (NFL) champions. The Eagles’ last visit to the Super Bowl was in 1981. Kickoff for Super Bowl XXXIX will be at 6:30 p.m. For more information about the BSA Super Bowl Bash, contact Casey Brown at tobecorrect@yahoo.com. -30- |
