French Film SeriesFebruary 7, 2006 CARROLLTON, GA - The University of West Georgia’s French Section of the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature is hosting its Spring 2006 installment of Cinematheque, UWG’s French film series. Te films will be shown in French with English subtitles. Admission to Cinematheque is free. “L’homme du train” will be presented Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 7 p.m. in the Bonner Lecture Hall. The film focuses on a teacher and a thief who learn the tricks of each other’s trade. On Tuesday, March 14, at 7 p.m. the film “Etre et avoir” will be shown in the Technology-enhanced Learning Center (TLC), Room 1-301. This film features the story of a teacher, his students and their lives in a one-room schoolhouse. The film series will wrap up on Monday, April 10, at 7 p.m., with “La Promesse,” which will be shown in the Bonner Lecture Hall. This film is the tale of an accident and a promise that may be hard to keep.
