UWG Foreign Languages to host workshop

CARROLLTON, GA - The University of West Georgia’s Foreign Languages and Literature Department and the West Georgia Foreign Language Academic Alliance will host a Professional Leadership Unit (PLU) workshop for foreign language teachers. The workshop is scheduled March 4 and March 25 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the old courthouse in Douglasville. The registration deadline is Feb. 18 and space is limited.
Georgia Department of Education representative Susan Crooks will present the workshop and will focus on teaching strategies for exceptional children. The teacher workshop is worth one PLU unit and costs $40. For an additional $5, participants can receive a certification of completion.
