Spring Preview DayFebruary 22, 2006 CARROLLTON, GA - Prospective students and their parents are invited to attend Spring Preview Day at the University of West Georgia on Sunday, March 5. Spring Preview Day will begin in the Health and Physical Education Building (HPE) at 1:30 p.m. with an introduction by UWG President Beheruz N. Sethna. UWG Homecoming Queen Amber Aiken will be the guest speaker. Prospective students and their families can tour the 400-acre campus and attend pre-arranged activities throughout the afternoon. An Academic Fair at the Technology-enhanced Learning Center (TLC) will showcase West Georgia’s wide variety of academic departments from 2 – 3:30 p.m. A Department and Organizations Fair will showcase UWG’s student activities, organizations and services at the University Community Center (UCC) in room 207 from 2:30 – 4 p.m. Walking and shuttle tours will be given from 2 – 3:30 p.m. Most residence halls will be open for visitation from 3 – 5 p.m. Information sessions about financial aid and the Honors College will take place at 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Other information sessions scheduled at 3:30 p.m. include the freshmen admission, transfer admissions and the Advanced Academy of Georgia. All information sessions will last 30 minutes. The Office of Admissions and the Residence Life Office will be open from 3 – 5 p.m. for prospective students to turn in any important documents.
