Art History professor publishes bookFebruary 20, 2006 CARROLLTON, GA - Dr. Rita Tekippe, professor of art history at the University of West Georgia, recently published a book called The Art and Architecture of Late Medieval Pilgrimage in Northern Europe and the British Isles. Tekippe co-edited Art and Architecture with Dr. Sarah Blick, assistant professor of art history at Kenyon College. The book is part of the much larger series Studies in Medieval and Reformation Traditions. Art and Architecture is a two-volume book of text and images with a total of 28 essays written by various authors. Aside from her co-written introduction with Blick, Tekippe also wrote, “Pilgrimage and Procession: Correlation of Meaning, Practice, and Effects.” Art and Architecture was published by Brill Academic Publishers. UWG’s Ingram Library currently has a copy of the two-volume book in Special Collections and will have an additional set for the regular collection soon.
