Mixed Chamber Ensemble to present concert March 24, 2003 CARROLLTON, GA - The newly formed Mixed Chamber Ensemble at the University of West Georgia will present a concert on Monday, March 31, at 8:15 p.m., in the Kathy Cashen Recital Hall in the Humanities Building. The Mixed Chamber Ensemble will perform works for flute and marimba by Peter Tanner; for marimba and bassoon by Dean Witten; for clarinet, cello and piano by C.P.E. Bach; for flute, clarinet and piano by Dmitry Shostakovich; for flute, clarinet and bassoon by Ibert and Mozart; and for clarinet and bassoon by Beethoven. Dr. Robert Janssen, temporary assistant professor of music, is the coach for the ensemble, which consists of several students, most of whom are music majors. The students are Allie DeLoach from Douglasville, flute; Mike Felker from Cumming, marimba; Kimberly Rudge from Atlanta, bassoon; Christopher Carr from Riverdale, clarinet; Jason Mathews, an Advanced Academy of Georgia student from Parkview High School in Lilburn, cello; and Thomas Vaden from Lilburn, piano.
