Gerontology sponsors forum March 31, 2003 CARROLLTON, GA - The Gerontology Program at the University of West Georgia will sponsor an Aging Careers Forum on Tuesday, April 8, in the Food Services (Z-6) Building, from 7-8:30 p.m. It will be part of the National Program on Aging Careers Week, sponsored by the Gerontological Society of America. The forum is focused on providing information to students and community members about career and employment opportunities in the field of gerontology. It will be free and open to the community and all students who are interested in a future career in aging issues. Representatives from government agencies, the healthcare industry, retirement communities and many other industries with age related interests will be present to share information on career opportunities. The UWG Master of Arts in Gerontology is the first of its kind in the state, offering students a practice-based program of knowledge and skills for working with older adults.
