Congressman Gingrey visits UWG

CARROLLTON,
GA - U.S. Representative Phil Gingrey (r), 11th District, receives information
from Dr. Mel Steely, professor of history, concerning the Ingram Library
Special Collections/Archives Department during a recent visit to the University
of West Georgia campus. UWG’s Special Collections is one of the
state’s most important political archives. Gingrey also learned
more about the Georgia’s Political Heritage Program which recently
received a $37,000 grant to continue the work of video- and audio-taping
interviews with prominent Georgia political figures.
