Gustafson elected Service Fellow

CARROLLTON, GA - Dr. Leland Gustafson, professor of economics at the University of West Georgia, has been elected a Service Fellow of the Academy of Economics and Finance for his more than 20 years of service to the organization. He was recently presented a plaque and monetary award at the academy’s annual meeting.
The
Academy of Economics and Finance is a professional association dedicated
to furthering the knowledge, practice and image of economics and finance
through teaching, research and service. The academy publishes two academic
journals, the Journal of Economics and Finance and the Journal
of Economics and Finance Education.
Gustafson has been an active member of the academy since 1979. He represented the state of Georgia as director from 1995 to 1998. Between 1998 and 2002, he held the position of treasurer, and from 1996 to 2002 he was a member of the Executive Board.
