Take a trip to Mercury and Venus March 26, 2003 CARROLLTON, GA - A multimedia presentation/demonstration, “A Trip to Mercury and Venus,” will be presented Friday, April 4, at 7 p.m. in the Crider Lecture Hall of the Boyd Building at the University of West Georgia. According to Dr. Ben deMayo, professor emeritus of physics, the presentation is designed for the public, six years and older, and it is sponsored by the Georgia Space Grant Consortium NASA, and UWG’s Departments of Physics and Continuing Education. The history and current understanding of these close planetary neighbors will be presented. Virtual trips will be taken to each of these fascinating planets, including a simulated flight over the mysterious surface of Venus. -30- |
