Brazilian Music Ensemble March 29, 2004 CARROLLTON, GA - Get a feel for Brazil’s musical culture when the University of West Georgia’s Brazilian Music Ensemble performs on Tuesday, April 6, at the Townsend Center for the Performing Arts. A blend of classical and popular music, the program of selections by Heitor Villa-Lobos, Luis Bonfá, Tom Jobim, Pixinguinha and many others will be led by native Brazilian Dr. Thomas Garcia, assistant professor of music. The concert is given in conjunction with an interdisciplinary course on Brazilian culture offered by Garcia. Performers will include UWG faculty and students.
