Bookstore names new manager

CARROLLTON, GA - The University of West Georgia announces that Robert (Bob) Swanson has been named as the University Bookstore manager, bringing with him 20 years of college bookstore experience.
Swanson comes to West Georgia after serving as the marketing representative for MBS Textbooks, Inc., one of the largest textbook wholesalers in the U.S., for the past 14 years. He grew up in Carrollton and graduated from Carrollton High School. He attended Oglethorpe University where he received his B.A. in business administration and behavioral science and a minor in economics.
According to Jerry Mock, director of business and auxiliary services, “Mr. Swanson is well-qualified to lead our bookstore and provide our campus with quality service.”
Swanson noted that some changes will be made to improve and enhance the UWG Bookstore operation. “We will improve our used book program, examine our supply area and revamp our clothing line in terms of styles and vendors,” says Swanson.
He
also noted that the interior and exterior appearances of the bookstore
may change.
The University Bookstore is located on the east side of campus directly
behind McDonalds.
