Teacher Interview Day March 15, 2004 CARROLLTON, GA - Bring your resumes and come dressed to impress at the Teacher Interview Day on March 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Education Center at the University of West Georgia. Teacher Interview Day is held early each spring for UWG education majors and graduates in an effort to support their job search process. Students will have an opportunity to interview with more 40 school systems from throughout Georgia that will be represented at the event. Starting at 9 a.m., students will be able to browse the arena to set up interviews with perspective schools. “This joint effort by the Department of Career Services and the College of Education continues to be a successful job fair in bringing the UWG teacher candidates together with the hiring powers from public and private school systems,” says Wanda McGukin, associate director of Career Services. McGukin urges students to come prepared with information on themselves, their lesson planning, teaching experience and their own approaches to their teaching styles. She advises students to have questions ready to ask interviewers about their school system. Career Services offers tips on interview procedures and how to build a resume.
