Disco Party

CARROLLTON, GA - Break out the platform shoes and polyester bellbottoms because the Student Activities Council (SAC) is hosting a “Disco Party” on Wednesday, March 30, at 7 p.m. in the lower level of the Z-6. The event will be free to University of West Georgia students and refreshments will be provided.
According to Desmond Dodson, council member, the event has been organized to bring together individuals and campus organizations to resurrect, at least for one night, the dress, music and dance of the disco era of the 1970’s.
There will be several awards determined at the event. The Way Back Award, along with a cash prize, will be given to the campus organization whose members are the best era-dressed of those in attendance. There will also be three awards presented to individuals at the event. The Groove Thing Award will be awarded to the best dancer, the Fly Cat Award will be given to the best era-dressed individual and the Good Times Award will be presented to the person who seems to be having the best time at the party.
