Episodes in Sexuality

CARROLLTON, GA - The UWG Theatre Company will be performing student produced plays for the 14th annual “Episodes in Sexuality,” March 14-17 in the Townsend Center for the Performing Arts (TCPA) at 7 p.m.

The student-written and directed plays will include skits, poems and monologues from individual interpretations of sexuality. This years theme, “Diversity in ’05,” will allow student writers be creative as they delve into sexuality, depicting life from their own perspective.

“The aim of Episodes is to allow students to explore issues and values related to sexuality in a safe supportive environment,” says Sylvia Shortt, assistant director of Student Development.

The cast members include Liz Bruce, Matthew Hambrick, Brandie Herrin, Katie Van Laningham, Jowanna Williams, and Melvin Williams. The director of the production is Dustin Stevens.

The production staff includes Britney Molina, Elizabeth Knott, Stephanie Alyworth, Jonathan McAnally, Timothy Reynolds, and Steven Reed.

The performance is open to both faculty and students. Although there is no cost for admission, tickets must be obtained before entering. Tickets may be picked up in advance at the TCPA, Monday-Friday 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Seating is limited in the TCPA Black Box Theatre and it is recommended that students pick up tickets at least a week in advance.
