UWG invited to "Great Decisions Discussion Series"

CARROLLTON, GA - In appreciation of the University of West Georgia’s support of The American Democracy Project, the Carroll County League of Women Voters has invited UWG faculty, staff and students to attend the “Great Decisions Discussions Series.” The series meets from 7 – 9 p.m. in the Carrollton Senior Center on March 9 and at the Carroll County Administration Building on April 17.
The series is grouped into four sessions that focus on important local and worldwide issues. The first meeting discussed issues between the U.S. and Iran. The series continued with a discussion on global health and pandemics on March 2.
The topic on March 9 will be Turkey and its standing with the European Union. The last discussion will be a community forum held in the Commissioner Chambers located at 423 College St. in Carrollton. The forum will focus on issues mayors face while governing Carroll County communities.
