Celebration of Graduate ResearchMarch 15, 2006 CARROLLTON, GA - The University of West Georgia will hold its third annual “A Celebration of Graduate Student Research” on Thursday, March 16 from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. at Kathy Cashen Recital Hall. The event features research by current and former graduate students who are completing requirements for a graduate program during the 2005 calendar year. The research presentations include completed theses, education specialist degree research, dissertations, music and art projects, end of program papers, position papers and term papers. Dr. Jack Jenkins, dean of the Graduate School, said it is a way to acknowledge the great work students do on campus. “The purpose of the research celebration is to show the meaningful and quality research that graduate students conduct at the university,” said Jenkins. “I encourage everyone to take a few minutes to come celebrate with these students.” At 6:30 p.m. several graduate students will recite their research papers.
