UWG's Relay for Life Team

CARROLLTON, GA - The University of West Georgia’s Wonder Walkers hope to raise $6,000 for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. This year’s relay event takes place on Friday, April 21, from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Carroll County VFW Fairgrounds.
Last year UWG’s team of Wonder Walkers raised $5,732,
which was the fifth highest total at the event.
Faculty, staff and students are invited to join the Wonder Walkers to
help the team reach their goal. The registration fee is $10 per person
and includes a Relay for Life tee shirt.
The UWG team will hold several fundraising activities on campus in March and April. Dress Down days will earn a $1 donation from any faculty and staff members who dress casually March 9 and April 6. On Wednesday, March 15, a bake sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the promenade of the UCC.
The last fundraiser is a silent auction scheduled for Tuesday, April 11, from noon to 2 p.m. and from 6 - 8 p.m. in the TLC atrium. All funds generated from these events will be donated to Relay for Life.
