Percussion ensemble to perform April 2, 2003 CARROLLTON, GA - The University of West Georgia Percussion Ensemble will perform in the Townsend Center for the Performing Arts Black Box Theater on Tuesday, April 15, at 8:15 p.m. The ensemble is directed by Tony Sawyer, assistant director of bands, and will play a variety of contemporary and traditional music. Some of the works that will be played include the “Omphalo Centric Lecture” by Westlake, the “Petite Suite” by VerPlanck, “Alone or Together” by Novotney, and four pieces from the “Gayane Ballet Suite” by Khackaturian.
