Powerpoint basics taught

CARROLLTON, GA - Today’s high-tech audiences have come to expect sophisticated, entertaining multimedia presentations. If you are a trainer, speaker, educator, student, manager or public official with a message, you can deliver a powerful presentation using PowerPoint.

The University of West Georgia Department of Continuing Education can teach you how in its PowerPoint Basics class, which will be offered at the Newnan Center on Monday, April 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Participants will learn to create, edit and organize presentation files; avoid cluttered slides; correct embarrassing design flaws; enhance a message’s most important points; and produce notes, handouts and other materials to complement the presentation.

In addition, you’ll receive presentation tips designed to help overcome the worst jitters and keep an audience engaged. Whether you are a novice or a seasoned presenter, PowerPoint is right for you!

High school and college students can benefit from this class, and are encouraged to attend. The class fee is $95. For more information or to register, contact the Department of Continuing Education at 770-836-6610.
