Word Basics course offered April 11, 2003 CARROLLTON, GA - Like millions of other computer users, you’ve probably used Microsoft Word at some time or other for your word-processing projects. But you may not be aware that Word is the most customizable of all the Microsoft Office products and it offers the greatest number of tools. A good way to learn how to make the most of those tools is to take the upcoming six-hour Word Basics class offered by the Department of Continuing Education at the University of West Georgia. Whether you want to write simple letters; create long, complex reports; or produce an eye-catching brochure, you’ll master Word tools for entering, editing and saving text; positioning text and graphics, checking and changing spelling and grammar; and printing from Word. The class will be offered on Thursday, April 17, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Computer University Lab in the basement of the Ingram Library. The cost is $95. Word Basics is a great course to take after Windows. To get the most out of the class, participants should be comfortable with basic computer skills.
