Bird performs junior recital

CARROLLTON, GA - University of West Georgia music major Meredith Leigh Bird of Lawrenceville will perform her junior recital on Sunday, April 25, at 7 p.m. in the Kathy Cashen Recital Hall in the Humanities Building.
Bird, a soprano, will sing works by Scarlatti, Handel, Puccini, Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Schumann, Strauss and Hageman in English, Italian, German and French. She will be accompanied at the piano by Dr. Dan Bakos, music professor and director of jazz studies.
Bird majors in music with an emphasis in music business and studies voice with Dr. Kevin Hibbard, director of choirs and chair of the Music Department. She is the daughter of Linda Bird of Lawrenceville.
