Gerontology Program marks 10th anniversary April 1, 2004 CARROLLTON, GA - The Gerontology Program at the University of West Georgia will be celebrating its 10th anniversary on Thursday, April 15, at 7 p.m. in Kathy Cashen Recital Hall. The Gerontological Outreach Committee, along with the Beta Kappa Chapter of Sigma Phi Omega, will host a commemorative event featuring Brenda Fitzgerald, M.D., who will address the topic of the Impact of Women’s Health on Aging. This celebration is in conjunction with the National Aging Careers Week of the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) and the Association for Gerontology in Higher Education (AGHE). Information on local aging resources and services, along with careers in aging, will be available. There is no admission charge for the event and refreshments will be served.
