Sports Management hosts charity golf tournament April 6, 2004 CARROLLTON, GA - Come and hit a hole-in-one at the Fore the Kids Golf Tournament at the Oak Mountain Golf Course on Friday, April 23, starting at 9 a.m., hosted by the University of West Georgia’s sport management department. The
golf tournament is an annual tradition conducted by the sport facility
and event management classes. Students are able to gain valuable experience
from managing the event. A portion of the proceeds from the golf tournament will go toward the charity Bert’s Big Adventure. This organization provides all-expenses-paid vacations for terminally ill children and their families. A $10,000 prize will be given to the participant who hits a hole-in-one in a selected hole during the tournament. The award will be provided by Hole In One America, a sponsor of the event. The registration fee is $75 per entrant, and the deadline to register is April 14. Participants can enter individually or in teams of up to four players.
