Adamson Hall Dedicated

CARROLLTON,
GA - The reconstruction of Adamson Hall on the campus of the University
of West Georgia was celebrated during a recent dedication ceremony. In
appreciation for the generous philanthropic support for Adamson Hall by
Paul and Sara Cadenhead, the building’s lobby was named the Sara
Davenport Cadenhead Lobby. The Thomas B. Murphy Wing was dedicated in
appreciation for Murphy’s leadership when he was Speaker of the
House for obtaining legislative funding for the reconstruction. The Edgar
L. Rhodes Wing honors Rhodes’ role as champion of the preservation
of Adamson Hall when he was a Regent of the University System of Georgia.
Joining Dr. Beheruz N. Sethna (l), UWG president, for the ceremony were:
(back) Judge Michael Murphy, son of Tom Murphy; Paul and Sara Cadenhead;
(front) Carol Murphy, daughter-in-law of Tom Murphy; and Edgar Rhodes.
