Guitar Recital

CARROLLTON, GA - Guest guitarist Stanley Dorn will perform a free recital at the University of West Georgia on Thursday, April 21, at 8:15 p.m. in the Kathy Cashen Recital Hall of the Humanities Building.
Dorn, who teaches guitar and chairs the Music Techniques Division at Mannes College of Music in New York, will perform guitar solos and duets with Dr. Thomas Garcia, UWG associate professor of music.
A singer as well as a guitarist, Dorn sings with the Americas Vocal Ensemble, an a capella octet specializing in Spanish and Latin American repertoire, and with the Chapel Consort, a men’s quintet. He has performed extensively in the New York area, notably in Carnegie, Alice Tully and Merkin concert halls.
He received his undergraduate education at New York University and did his graduate studies at Mannes College.
