Last week for Tsunami Relief Donations April 25, 2005 CARROLLTON, GA - The Student Government Association (SGA) at the University of West Georgia will be selling wristband bracelets to raise money for the Tsunami Relief Fund, which benefits victims of the Dec. 26 tsunami. Bracelets can be purchased at the Alumni House, and are $2 for students and $4 for faculty, staff and community members. The total of the Tsunami Relief Fund, as of April 25, is $8,026. Jason B. Allen, SGA president, says that the student goal is $10,216— with each dollar representing one student at UWG. “The times in which we live are difficult ones,” said Allen. “From this tragedy we have a charge as citizens to reach out to those in need.” For more information about the Tsunami Relief Fund, call 678-839-4742. -30- |
