Goldkist donates to Brooks Scholarship

CARROLLTON,
GA - Employees from Goldkist presented a donation to the University of West Georgia Foundation for the D.W. Brooks Scholarship awarded by
the Richards College of Business. A portion of the gift will go toward
the endowment fund, which is still building, and $500 will be for an award
this year. The scholarship is awarded to a student in Carroll, Haralson
or Heard Counties in Georgia and Cleburne and Randolph Counties in Alabama.
Attending the presentation was (l-r) Denvel Echols, Scott Tucker, Tammy
Davis, George Parmer, Richard Curvin, Booney Glenn, Dr. Ara Volkan (interim
dean of UWG’s Richards College of Business), Michael Williams, Scott
Huffman (interim vice president of University Advancement), and Randy
Miller.
