Alumni Reception at Atlanta Motor Speedway

CARROLLTON, GA - Race fans, start your engines! The University of West Georgia invites you to experience life in the fast lane at an evening for alumni and friends of the University at the Atlanta Motor Speedway on Wednesday, May 19, from 5 to 7 p.m.
The evening’s highlight will be an opportunity to take three laps in the pace car at speeds up to 100 mph!
Rhubarb Jones, UWG alumnus and morning radio personality at Eagle 106.7 in Atlanta, will emcee the event, which will include a reception in Victory Lane with heavy hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the University, and all attendees will receive a souvenir photo.
Adult tickets for the fundraising event are $40 for the reception only or $75 for the reception and a ride in the pace car. The $25 admission for children (ages 6-15) covers both the reception and a pace car ride. All pace car riders must sign a release.
