Scholarship Dinner

CARROLLTON,
GA - More than 200 University of West Georgia donors, students, faculty
and staff celebrated the achievements of the 2004/2005 scholarship recipients
at the annual Scholarship Dinner. Among the highlights of the evening
was keynote speaker Neely Young, editor in chief and publisher of Georgia
Trend Magazine, who shared both inspiring and entertaining experiences
of his life's challenges and triumphs. The West Georgia Foundation and
Regions Bank sponsored the evening to honor donors for their generosity
in furthering the academic needs of many deserving students. Students
were challenged by remarks delivered by Sheila Crews, senior vice president
of Regions Bank, Randall K. Redding, chair of the UWG Foundation Board
of Trustees, Dr. Beheruz N. Sethna, UWG president, and Dr. Andrew Leavitt,
associate vice president for development and alumni relations.
