McGukin named Director of Career Services

CARROLLTON, GA - Wanda McGukin has been named the new director of the Department of Career Services at the University of West Georgia. She takes the place of Dr. Bruce Brewer who retired last month.
McGukin
has worked in the Department of Career Services as associate director
and assistant director since 1995. She has been employed at the university
for 20 years and earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree at
UWG.
McGukin said she is excited about her new responsibilities.
“I am looking forward to exploring and implementing new ideas and initiatives and to continue providing a high level of service to West Georgia students and alumni,” said McGukin.
Career Services provides employment counseling and placement for UWG students and alumni. It also provides resources for internship, volunteer and employment opportunities on and off campus.
