Promotion and Tenure announcement at UWGMay 15, 2006 CARROLLTON, GA - The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia recently announced its promotion and tenure approvals for University of West Georgia faculty members. The following associate professors have been promoted to professor: Dr. Steve Goodson, history; Dr. Tobin Hart, psychology; Dr. Joseph Hendricks, biology; Dr. Charles W. Hodges, accounting and finance; Dr. Elaine MacKinnon, history; Dr. Gregory Payne, biology; Dr. Partha Ray, chemistry; Dr. William Lankford, management and business systems and Dr. Satyanarayana Swamy-Mruthinti, biology. The assistant professors promoted to associate professor are: Michael H. Aldrich, library; Dr. Angela T. Barlow and Dr. Amin Boumenir, mathematics; Thomas F. Cox, mass communications and theatre arts; Dr. Laurel L. Holland, sociology and criminology; Dr. Abdollah Khodkar, mathematics; Dr. Van Minh Nguyen, mathematics, Dr. Faramarz Parsa, management and business systems, Dr. Jill Mizell Reddish, curriculum and instruction; Dr. Said Sewell, political science and planning; Dr. Janet S. Strickland, curriculum and instruction; Dr. Deborah J. Webb, marketing and real estate and Dr. Bradford Yates, mass communications and theatre arts.
