UWG's Triathlon Team

CARROLLTON, GA - Three University of West Georgia students on the UWG Triathlon Team placed in the top ten of their age groups in the Tanner Triathlon at John Tanner State Park.
Tara
Mostowy of Alpharetta, Heath Milligan of Jonesboro and Kip Chasse of Woodland
trained throughout the winter and spring months to compete in the 600-meter
swim, 11.2-mile bike and 3.1-mile run triathlon. Jeff Rooks, a lecturer
in the UWG management and business systems department, is the team’s
advisor.
Mostowy finished fourth in the race and is a senior biology major. In addition to training and competing in triathlons, Mostowy works as a lifeguard and adventure trip guide in the Department of Intramurals.
Milligan, a senior management and marketing major, is a member of the Army Reserves and recently served a year in Iraq. He finished seventh in the race.
Chasse completed the course in third place in his age group. He is a junior majoring in sports management. He works as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the UWG Athletic Department.
