UWG will decorate July Fourth parade floatJune 27, 2006 CARROLLTON, GA - The University of West Georgia will host a float in the Fourth of July People’s Parade and students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends are invited to help build the float and participate in the parade. The theme of the float will be centered around the theme for the university’s Centennial Celebration, From Rural Roots to Global Reach: Celebrating a Century of Success. According to Frank Pritchett, assistant executive director of development and alumni relations, the float will be decorated on Friday, June 30, at 11:30 a.m. in the Facilities and Grounds compound located near Food Services (Z-6). “All alumni and friends are welcome to either help decorate on Friday or walk/ride with us on the day of the parade, or both!” Pritchett said.
